Issue Position

I believe in a strong educational system for our children. Our public education system has a strong foundation and should be fully funded. Nobody wants to see empty houses or schools. The education system here in Michigan is being pulled in many directions and could hurt instead of help our children. Fully funding our public schools with EXTREME ACCOUNTABILITY is the stand I will take. We need to hold all our professionals accountable for our children's future. When we send our children to school, I/we expect our educators to produce students who will be our future producers. I will work with our educators to ensure our students' success in this global business environment. I will work to eliminate or "up the standards" of those teachers and administrators who are sub-standard, and who cast a bad reflection on this honorable profession. Most teachers love their jobs and want our students to succeed, while doubting the credibility of those teachers who have low standards. This goes for ALL professionals, including elected officials. As your State Rep, I will hold myself to EXTREME ACCOUNTABILITY as well.
